I just finished your book, BLITZ 1 complete and successful! Now I am embarking on a 2nd BLITZ and I am not as great a finding that same motivation. HELP!
As I said before I am really struggling with this extra fat I am carrying around my waist. So my question (finally) is: What should I do?

I will share with you my daily BLITZ journal. This is not the EXACT entry for my 33 Ways for 33 Days entry, as those are to be kept in mental privacy so as not to dissipate the energy that powers the motivation to excel. However these are notes from the readings and sidelines of my actual 33 Day journal entries :

On self-regulation - In an attempt to organize the hodgepodge of information dispersed throughout my site, I will attempt to organize the tools in a manner that will give you guidelines and direction on how to use them. The GENERAL idea behind the "33 Ways for 33 Days" is to give yourself a deadline to accomplish specific goals that you have laid out, be they physical, mental, financial, whatever (or all of these.) The daily tools are the FOCUSING LENS by which you are to embark on each day while keeping your eye on the prize. We are in a society of more, faster, easier is better. I will borrow a quote from the article I'm reading, "leisure pursuits are more attractive" (Gredler, 2009) in this case than following a diet and doing exercise. Day 1 is DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT. Easy enough, right? Until you start to realize how vague we can be to give ourselves leeway, or room for excuses and rationalization, to lapse on self-regulation. You know, take it "easy" on ourselves. |

BARRIERS - we are all very familiar with the barriers that creep (or crash perhaps) into our daily lives that derail us from moving toward our goals. Lack of time is the #1 barrier individuals report for not exercising, yet many of us spend hours on "entertainment." It is more a matter of commitment. This is one reason why it is SO important for that initial "what do you want" to be something SO powerful that it will drive you through the tough times. It’s not the days when working out is fun & dieting just flows where we need the persistence, it is on the HARD days, where nothing is going right, stress is high, & we have ten million things to get done. BUT ... when those days happen & you pull through & follow through on your commitments, WOW what a great feeling! This is the feeling that IS LIVING! |

| Day 15 (round 2) | I want to share my mission. I hope to inspire others through example to aspire to be their best. Through sharing my journey, it helps ME to be better. I'm NOT saying that I am so wonderful & no best, I am just saying that it feels right to be in a driven state and to share that. I am learning so much on this journey about difficulties in life & overcoming these difficulties. My thoughts include that we are all here to experience tribulations & to learn how to, through devotion & perserverance, transcend these "human" issues (I like to call "Reality 1.") I hope this finds someone out there who this makes sense to, & if it does, please drop me a note : ) ... DJ |
